At COP16 Riyadh, SamaBio proudly represented Somalia’s growing environmental initiatives by showcasing our innovative approach to combating deforestation and promoting sustainable energy alternatives. As part of the Somalia Pavilion, our participation was driven by the mission to introduce biomass briquettes as an eco-friendly cooking fuel—an initiative that directly addresses the urgent need to reduce reliance on traditional firewood and charcoal.

SamaBio’s core mission centers around harnessing agricultural waste and turning it into biomass briquettes, providing Somali households with a cleaner, affordable, and more sustainable alternative to wood fuel.
